It Requires Regular Cleaning
The reality is that the brushes, particularly the edges, can get plugged with ink. We find that we must remove and examine them regularly.
Regular Inspection Is Required
The holes in the spray bar need to be periodically checked. These also can get plugged, but more so due to corrosion. The holes are so small. Try this, put an air hose up to one end and the high pressure should help clear them out. Troubleshooting usually starts here.
Ink And Water Balance Are Critical
We had to learn to have an ink and water balance that is optimized for the least amount of piling. The automatic blanket washing unit can only take so much off the blanket. Depending on how much water you are running, this will greatly effect how much and the type of piling that takes place. You must tweak your water settings to get just the right amount of piling.
The Brushes
I would like to say something about the brushes too. They are designed to last a good long time. We do not know how long they actually last, but have been told five years. So replacing parts is minimal. It's really only your solvent consumption that will increase.

Spunlace fabric is also called spunlace non-woven fabric, also known as "jet spunlace fabric". The concept of "jet into cloth" comes from the mechanical needle punching process. The so-called "jet spunlace" uses high-pressure water to penetrate into the fiber web to entangle the fibers with each other, so that the original loose fiber web has a certain solid and complete structure. The process flow is: fiber metering and mixing - opening and impurity removal - mechanical carding into a web - fiber web pre-wetting - water needle entanglement - surface treatment - drying - coiling - inspection - packaging Warehousing. The spunlace device uses high-speed flowing high-pressure water jets to spray the fiber web to rearrange and entangle the fibers in the fiber web to form a non-woven fabric with structural integrity and certain strength. The physical properties of this spunlace non-woven fabric are different from ordinary needle-punched non-woven fabrics, and it is the only non-woven fabric that makes the final product similar to textiles in feel and performance.
Production Process of Spun Lace Nonwoven Fabric
Filaments are adopted for spinning, web-forming and primary spun-lacing; secondly, the filaments are added with a wood pulp lead-in recombiner for compounding after the primary spun-lacing; thirdly, secondary spun-lacing is performed after compounding; fourthly, squeezing and drying are performed; wood pulp is prepared on line into wet sheets by adoption of wet web-forming; the wet sheets are led into the recombiner and compounded with the filaments after the primary spun-lacing. The method has short production process flow and low equipment investment; the spinning and spun-lacing technology, the wood pulp wet web-forming technology and the spun-lacing compounding technology are effectively combined, thereby the speed is quick and the productivity is high. The filaments and the prior wood pulp are used as raw materials, and slicing, spinning and web-forming of the filaments and web-forming of the prior wood pulp are performed, and then spun-lacing is compounded; the whole production process fully utilizes water, energy and materials and the fabrics are produced at one step, thereby the production cost is low. The products produced have the strength of the filaments, the hydroscopic property of the wood pulp and the hand feeling of staple fiber spun-laced fabrics, do not fall off flock, are easy to degrade, and are novel products of 'green and environment-friendly' compound non-woven fabrics.
